Listen first. Guide to your body.
The team keeps learning, uses plain language, and plans classes around real bodies—not magazine poses.

Team
Studio lead and main teachers
The studio lead oversees programs, teacher development, and communication with practitioners. Shifts change by season—confirm who is teaching before you arrive.
Experience.Core members bring 10+ years across hatha, vinyasa, recovery-style classes, and breath-focused sessions—in Tokyo studios, workplace wellness, and private lessons.
Training.Lead teachers have completed 200+ hour foundations through Yoga Alliance–recognized paths or equivalent programs, plus ongoing study in anatomy, restorative work, and trauma-informed approaches where relevant. We budget for continuing education each year.
Style.Inviting language, demos from more than one angle, and variations offered by default. Hands-on assists happen only with your consent and when they truly help.
Guest teachers and substitutes
Some classes are led by trusted substitutes who meet the same training baseline, learn Rakuyoga rules, and teach agreed plans so the room still feels familiar.
Standards
Hiring and review
We check references, observe trial classes, and collect structured feedback from students. Concerns are logged confidentially.
Clear boundaries
We teach movement and breath in a yoga context. Medical advice belongs to licensed clinicians.
Ethics
Privacy, consent for touch, and professional communication are set out in internal policies.
Growth
Peer observation and training happen roughly quarterly so methods do not go stale.
